Okay, so you go to Walmart and you find a plastic recorder for a dollar, but what do other recorders go for? Say, for example, a bass recoder. How little or how much can a recorder cost? I know that on a french horn, you could spend as much as $15k if you had a mind to. I've been looking around (not too extensively, though) and haven't found much in the way of a great range of prices.
Thanks in advance for your posts!

The very cheapest recorders are the soprano recorders (the plastic once) they can cost below the dollar in some cases but they are not especially good recorders. Plastic basses can in rare cases be bought for around 100$ but usually they cost around 200$. Plastic tenors cost around 70$ (or more depending on if there's two, one or no keys on it). plastic alto recorders can be bought for around 40-60$, sopranos for as little as 10$ and sopraninos for around 12$.
Wooden recorders on the other hand are more expensive. A wooden recorder which has been made in a factory (I.e not by hand) will cost between 90$ and 300$. Handmade recorders can, depending on size, wood, additions like keys, and the quality of craftsmannship cost as musch as 2000$ (except for some very large basses and possibly custom made recorders which can both cost more).
Well, that's how i've come to see it anyway.
