Has anyone been on singing probation because he/she was sick?

I am now...I have a sore throat + allergies/cold. It's no fun. I tried singing a little and it was just so hard I gave up.

I miss singing.

Is there anyway to get oversinging with a cold/allergies/sore throat except resting the voice?
