Season 1 began with just 40 contestants auditioning from their homes for a spot in the competition. 28 were picked by the judges and moved on. Eventually, different genres, musical accompaniment, background vocals, and even video segments were introduced. What began as a small and undiscovered talent search, soon grew to huge proportions with thousands and thousands of viewers casting votes each week.

With a remodeled website (including personal web pages for every contestant & an appropriate domain name), an established discussion forum, a soon to be stable and experienced judging panel, and a clear image of where the competition is going, the maker of Online Idol is guaranteeing one of the best online competitions the internet has ever seen!

All you need to enter is an email address, an audio & video recording device (as simple as an expensive webcam,) and a little bit of guts! Any singer or band can enter, from age 3 to 103. Hundreds and hundreds of singers and bands are being invited to join! The best part is that it will get you plenty of online exposure and it is completely free to join!
