Just something... only sopranos can sing high c`s comfortably. Most women aren`t sopranos; they`re mezzos and altos. Enjoy you`re voice, don`t strain it

My friend can hit a high C, but I can only hit an F.

You`re talking about the double ledger line high C right?
I can, but only when my voice is in absolute good conditions, but even then, I`ll avoid scores that go beyond the A note.

Are you singing in falsetto? Or has your voice not dropped? It`s extremely rare for men to be able to sing a high C with normal voice. Even the highest tenors don`t manage the F below that ( the ordinary tenor high C is an octave below the one we`re reffering to ).
But if you can... good for you!

Jay #1 is probably younger, and doesn`t have a changed voice yet. I could sing high C in the treble clef up to about age 12. Now it`s hard for me to get the C below that.

okay, well, if we are talking about high c, the high c that i know, i can hit it. my voice is developed. im 16. granted the high c is the limit, i have to push for it, but my trick is that its in mixed voice. it sounds like normal chest voice for the most part though. if you listen to musicals, in wicked, idina menzel does this a lot.

I sing classically, and am soprano. I get high c (c3 including middle c) on normal days and the f above it if I have been practicing often. If you can`t get it, you may have a lower voice. This is normal-- in fact, sopranos in choral works have to sing no higher than the a. What I suggest is that you do plenty of exercises and vocalises. I find singing the whole of Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (the 1st violin part) gives me another 5 full tones in a few weeks.

Yup... but it doesn`t sound pretty as I`m a baritone!
