Instead of just having the points there, why not come up with some way that people can use them. Maybe MP3 downloads for a certain amount of points, or tickets to an upcoming musical concert for a larges amount of points. This is just a suggestion, but it would also attract more people to your site.
I can understand like, access to the sheets of music that are members only, the stuff you've had to subscribe to get, but musical concerts would require him to get the money somehow xD.
it would kinda take some of thepoint out of posting stuff; people would just post stuff to get points and not because they want to post or have something valuable to say.
