I was wondering, as I do compose quite a bit, what would be the notation make for playing a phase after something was marks Sul (string letter)?
For example, which will hopefully explain it a bit better, I was writing a piece for solo violin and at a certain point the music is rendered by the marking Sul D, right after that phrase I have the pitches move to the E. How would the string change be expressed?
