I got my braces off 2 months ago ... and I'm having trouble recovering from it... I've noticed that my tone quality has suffered and the start of my notes are airy... Are there any special exercises that can help???

After any oral surgery playing is tough, keep with it.
You might want to try an excersize that uses long notes with cres. and dim. This will help strengthen the embouchure.
Ex: Starting on middle C
C--------B-------C--------Bb--------C---------A---------C--------Ab-------C

th reverse dynamics
C B C Bb C A.....

I would also do lipslurs...lots of them. Start in the low register and use lots of air, aim for smooth note changes with no space between. (I'd take cracked notes over stopping and starting the air stream). Don't work your way up too high too fast, you could develop some tension problems. Stay relaxed!
Good Luck!

Sorry wasn't clear in post.
In the long tone exersize: Crescendo on one note and then change note and dim.
Not multiple cres. and dim on one note.
