Hi TromboneKid.

The Horn is a great instrument, but the thing that is the absolute worst about it, is that you can never find where the spit is in the instrument, because there are so many tuning slides!

Otherwise it's a beautiful instrument, good choice!

Compared to Trombone, Horn is beast.

Compared to trombone, the french horn mouthpiece is like 20 times smaller. (maybe an exaggeration, but it's still a big difference)

Since french horn plays higher in its range, notes are closer together and harder to place (notes you can play w/ one fingering).

GOOD LUCK!!!
