Hey everyone!

Ok, so my Mum asked me the inevitable question the other day... "what do I want for Christmas?"
And, unlike most teenage girls, I couldn't think of anything and decided that I must have everything. But after I thought about it long and hard enough to make my head hurt (jokes ) I decided that a new case for my horn would be a good thing, as my current case is... well, dilapidated. While the inside is in excellent condition, one of the three latches is completely broken, and the other two are unreliable -- thus I find myself walking with my finger holding it closed 'just in case' (a painful exercise) or carrying it backwards so it will fall against my leg.

So I surfed the net looking at all the different types, and there are two types I am particularly interested in. (NB: I have a hard case at the moment, and as I do a lot of travelling on buses etc to take it to school at last twice a week, I would prefer a hard case).
The first is Gator - I know someone who has a hard Gator case and it is quite good, at a reasonable price for my purposes.
The second is Eastman Strings hard cases, (http://www.eastmancasecompany.com/) that, while also appearing to be sturdy, are very nicely coloured! (Added bonus!)

I acknowledge that in this area I know next to nothing and if anyone has any advice (or feedback on the above selected brands) I would be very interested.

Thanks!

My horn is a Joseph Lidl by the way... I'm unsure of its exact specifications....

I also found these (although they don't have a price on them... :))

Sorry to add another bit!!
I also just found this one -- it doesn't supply the dimensions though. How do I know if any of these cases will fit my horn?

If you want, you can take your case to a Luggage repair shop. They can replace your latches. Or an older shoe repair shop might know who might be able to replace your latches.

If you a new case and need to know if it fits - measure your wrap. The wrap is the diameter of the roundness of your french horn. Then ask the people who have these cases what the interior dimension is.
