I have decided to buy a Miraphone mouthpiece. I looked at their website and I am confused by all the measurements let me clarify. The site has many different mouthpieces and they differ from things like Cup depth, Bore, and Cup Ø. I have no idea what those mean. Can someone explain them.

The cup depth is how deep the cup or funnel of the mouthpiece is. The 'bore' is the size of the hole in the middle of the mouthpiece. Throat is the angle of the mohtpiece from the bottom of the cup to the bore. Backbore is the inside taper of the mouthpiece shank (from the bore to the end of the mouthpiece).

These are the measurements on Miraphones site. What makes the most sense for me to buy? I play a BBb tuba and use Mainly mouth pieces that have thin lips. I curently play with a Helleburg 7B and heard Miraphone makes good mouth piece.

I am stopping this post I decided on a Helleberg 120S. I already use a Helleberg 1207B and I learned that the 120S model is deeper than 7B. I think that a deeper mouthpiece will make a better tone.
