Wait! speaking of movies isn't this one--and thus not a musical?

Scotch, as I understand it, a musical is a movie where the characters have a propensity to break into song at a moment's notice. Sometimes, it's full song and dance routines (in the middle of a farmyard or whatever). So, Moulin Rouge, being full of arbitrary singing, is indeed a musical.

I don't know what your definition of a "musical" is, but I believe one that includes films is perfectly valid. Particularly so since the original poster cited a film as their favourite musical.

My favorite Broadway musical would be Phantom of the Opera. Partially because that's the only musical I've seen on Broadway. lol Actually come to think of it, I did also see Les Miserables...

I've never seen anything on Broadway. I hope to sometime in the furture. My computer teacher said if Wicked came to Chicago, then we could have a party in computer class and go see it.

My Favorite haas to be Kiss Me Kate, because that is where I met my wife.
My second favorite is Don Pasquale, because the Horn part has you go through every transposition there is.
