I would really appreciate it if you could put out a riff from Coldplay`s "The Scientist" or anything off of the new album, A Rush of Blood to the Head. Almost every song has a beautiful piano part. Oh, and any Radiohead song riff would would also be awesome. Also, I would love anything from the White Stripes, Hives, Vines, Doves, Strokes, Beck, and Starsailor.

Ive searched all over the web but cant find those anywhere! Well, Radiohead can be found at http://littlerowboat.net/piano/index.html but the others are really rare!
Especially White Stripes would be nice...

i agree there aint enough coldplay on the net,but...you can buy the sheet music for parachutes ,and a rush of blood..for about a tenner each, not bad for that much material, havin said that me thinks its better to write your own arrangements, as you can change chord voicings and key to suite solo performances,...joe hurst.

Unfortunately, this link no longer seems to work (www.pianorock.com/artists/C/Coldplay/transcriptions.html). Shame, I`ve been looking for the Scientist piano arrangement. I guess I`ll just have to do like Mary( see below) and work it out. I just can`t get the 1st chord. Its a minor but with another note thrown in and I just can`t get it despite having it in my head all day. PLaying it on guitar using the powertab arrangement, the dm sounds OK but on the piano it just isn`t right. I could of course spend some money and buy the sheet music book but that takes all the fun out of it.
Any hints on the secret chord would be welcome. Mary?

The chord progression to the scientest is really chliche`- a minor, F major, C major, G major. You`ll here it everywhere if you listen well. It`s kind of a secret amongst composers, but once you know it you realize how often it`s used. Play around with the inversions some and you`ll get it.
