all you really need in a jazz band is serious experience on your horn. i play clarinet and tenor in my highschool jazz band. get to know the clarinet like the back of your hand. then it won`t matter what kind of a mouth peice or reed you have. but if you want some serious facts a clarinet has its limitations, all mouth peices are the same so your good, and vandaurens I think are the best reeds. you got the goods so just keep practicing.

Every instrument has its limitations.

Vandorens are a bad idea for jazz clarinet; they don't make the Java (the jazz sax reeds) for clari.
