Hey, What do you think are some fun songs to play for a concert band that are somewhat popular? I need some to look in the school music library to see if the band could play some. Our school usually plays boring songs so this will help us. My all time favorite is Lament and Tribal Dances by Michael Sweeney. Some songs that I also like are from David Shaffer who has made Tempest Rising and By Dawn's Early Light.

hey gordo, look. depending on wat you think is fun and what instruments you have i'd make suggestions like:
*Watermelon Man
*Gum Leaf Rag (Australian Piece)
*Wombat Shuffle (Yet another Australian Piece)
*Sesame Street
*As Time Goes By (version that i play has the trumpet as lead solo player etc)
*In The Mood
basically i'm thinking some old kinda swing stuff is always "fun" but then again i'm not into CLASSICAL so all my suggestions are pretty much around JAZZ.
Goddluck, i'm posting this late but i hope it helps
