These are two mammoth bands that have cast a shadow on the rest of the rock world. However, they have tremendously different styles. In my opinion, Led Zeppelin is by far the greatest band of all time and easily defeats AC/DC. But I'd like to hear what the rest of you think.
Are you serious on this?? AC/DC is not even coparable to Led. You should have gone with some competition, like Led Zeppelin VS Black Sabbath. Or AC/AD VS Faster Pussycat.
Led Zeppelin has produced a vast assortment of songs, all song distinctivly different, AC/DC stay to a strict formula leaving them with too much of the same thing, it is very easy to get too much AC/DC. Led Zeppelin was winning the west when AC/DC was still in diapers in Australia, don't compare them.
Hey you guys. I totally agree. Led Zeppelin is a behemoth of rock, a master. AC/DC is nothing compared to them. When I say "Led Zeppelin vs. AC/DC: The Clash Of The Titans", I'm just trying to stir you guys up so that you will do exactly what you are doing now- reaffirming Zeppelin's status as gods of rock. Thank you for doing so.
I didn't say that Zeppelin were the ONLY gods of rock. I mean there are plenty of others, as sjgamer mentioned. But, in my opinion, Zeppelin is the highest of them all. But I'm not taking anything away from the Stones, Floyd, the Doors, Hendrix, or any of the other awesome bands.
Comparing Zep to AC/DC is like comparing men to boys. Zeppling wrote the book on hard rock, and AC/DC never got past the first chapter. Page and the boys immediately expanded their sound, starting with their debut. Not content with performing bone crunching blues based rock, they fused slower folk based music, leading to their patented "light and heavy" musical attack. Eventhough AC/DC were very good and grinding it out, they never got past performing the same tune, albiet with slight variations. How can anyone honestly compare Zep 1 through Graffiti against Highway to Hell and Black in Black without drawing the same conclusion? Zepplin was better in every, and I mean every regard.
Although AC/DC gives me those flashback memories of sneaking pot into my bed room or my Buddy's basement and getting high for the first time.
Back in Black was the album.
Oh for God sake cummon! Take it from me there are no greatest band only what you can judge as yourself as your favourite... My opinion, Led were alrite but AC/DC are awesome down to the fact there guitarist is the best ever. But both suck compared to the power of Maiden.
Led Zeppelin is a great band, but a lot of there songs can be kinda bland. ACDC's songs are always bouncing off the walls! Most of there songs are basic, but they sound better. BUT...
The greatest band of all time is RUSH. Neil peart, Geddy Lee, and Alex Lifeson beat all!
