hello everyone, im very new here but have been a musician for serveral years....ive recently come across an amazing new age band with a song that i want to cover...i can manage the guitar, but the the vocals are a tough one. i was wondering if anyone could give some advice on hitting the high notes in this song. the band itself is called Secret and Whisper, a branch of what Stutterfly used to be..the song is called "Vanishings" and its on there myspace page.....the extremely high part is around 3:10.....the link is http://www.myspace.com/secretandwhisper....anyone that has some advice would be great....and i know someone is gonna say "sing around your vocal range" but ive tried that and it doesnt sound nearly as epic...what can i do?
Ive always been told that ur either born with it or your not...and i refuse to believe i cant master this...ive got to much pride and motivation

you could search online (google,ask,etc) for free online singing lessons. Some might have different techniques or scale you could try out to expand your vocal range. Or you could just keep trying that part of the song. Practise makes perfect
