I thought I might do a little list a my favorite cd´s!
(not in order of preference...)
Dinu Lipatti: Chopin Walzes + Barcarolle and Mazurka
Arthur Rubinstein: (basicly anything but...) Chopin: Mazurkas, Schuman: C major fantasy + Kreisleriana
Jussi Björling: almost anything also, but preferably between the years 1946-50 or so...
Glen Gould: Goldberg Variations (second)
Kleiber: Vienna New Years Concerts 1989 and 1992
Göran Söllscher: Anything.....Schubert for two (with Gil Shaham), his newest: The Renaissance Album
Concertgebouw Orchestra: Shostakovich "Jazz Album"
These are some of my favorites...what do you think?

Heh... I have this CD called "The Baroque Masters". It`s pretty awesome. Has Vivaldi, Bach, Handel, a bunch of other famous Baroque composers. There`s a really beautiful concerto for viola and orchestra on it. Got it for five dollars at FYE :-)

i recently got a whole collection of the classical greats from Chopin to wargner. the cds contain their famous works and some that are not as well known.

I love all classical music CD`s. Beethovan`s Wig (sp?) CDs are funny though!!
