Hi everyone.
Listen, I love classical music and would like to find some really scary pieces (just for fun). Does anyone have a list of REALLY frightening and/or disturbing pieces, barring the cliched ones (eg. Night on Bald Mountain, Toccatta and Fugue in D minor). Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

At the moment, three come to mind. "O Fortuna" by Carl Orff gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. "The Montagues and Capulets" from Prokofiev's 'Romeo and Juliet' is more of a forward-stating piece rather than cryptic or eerie, although there are some softer parts. It may also be under the name of "Dance of the Knights". "Sacrificial Dance" from Stravinsky's 'The Rite of Spring' is also a forward-stating piece.

Hey, thanks for those. If anyone has any more, please post them, but in addition I'd like to ask if any of you know of any really gothic-sounding pieces (with organs and harpsichord, &c.) Thanks people.
