Could someone recommend some classical music considering that I like the following:

Beethoven - Ave Maria
Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata
Grieg - Peer Gynt suite No 1 - The Death of Aase
Rachmaninoff - Piano Concerto No 2
Samuel Barber - Adagio For Strings
Zbigniew Preisner - Trois Couleurs Rouge - 02 - Fashion Show I & II

I mostly listen to electronic music like Trance and Techno, aswell as...lets just say I like all music if it`s good . Anyway, my classical knowledge is sadly lacking. The songs above are pretty much the extent of my collection. I would like to find some more like these.

I like strings very much btw. I think I don`t like Bach - I don`t like heavy sounding classical, more soft and sweeping I guess. I like melody. I like the strings at the start of Rachmaninoff`s Concerto No. 2 very much.

If you think you can point me in the right direction please post.

Sibelius: 1st Symphony (4th mov)
Tchaikovsky: Swan`s Lake, The Tempest, Francesca Da Rimini, Romeo and Juliet
Puccini: Manon Lescaut`s Intermezzo Mascagni: Cavalleria Rusticana`s Intermezzo
Brahms: 3rd Symphony (3rd mov)
Chopin: 2nd Piano Concerto (2nd mov)
Chopin: All his Nocturnes (piano)
Field: All his Nocturnes (piano)

Some pieces becomes passionate at times, but mostly are quiet. I hope you like them.

Pachelbel`s Canon in D is an excellent piece!
