hello I`m 16, i want to learn to play the piano like a pro. I searched the Internet for some lesson or tutorials, but i have to pay for them. I`m a classical music fanatic, and I`m searching for a advice or I site with free piano lessons. Some told at the post that they learned themselfs piano how did they do it? Please help me.

Go out, buy an adult beginner book, go home, sit down at the piano and work. Once you have mastered the lessons in the first book, go on to the next book. Continue in this fashion until you are brilliant. And keep listening to a variety of music, because it gives you a good understanding of different styles.

hi~!
i too learnt the piano recently...and im 16 as well!
well, what i did was that i went to piano classes but the book that im currently using is alfred`s basic piano for adults...its very good in terms of getting to know your keys and chords and its a good choice for beginners. (there are 3 books) but if you want to go pro after that (like me!loL!) i wouldnt use alfred`s books....ill go find a good dedicated teacher

im not a fan of people going out and learning the piano by themselves and then calling themselves professionals. i am not a fan of this because, they tend to try to play pieces that are too hard for them and end up failing. if you would like to play like a pro, learn from a pro - a teacher. he or she will teach you how to express yourself on the piano and make the pieces that you play sound more beautiful.

Yeah, the Alfred series is good, I learnt from it, and look where I am now. (Sitting at the computer...wow! )
