Ok...I know this is a dumb question, but I`m getting some rythms confused. In a piece, I have sixteenth note triplets. Are these the same as the notes that have a 6 under them (the divide the beat into 6 parts I think...)?

Well if there are six notes barred together with a 6 under it than it`s a sixtuplet, kinda like a triplet... I think!

so do u have 16th notes with a mar under them that says 3 or 6? if it is a 6, then it is a sextuplet and it gets one beat, our teacher told us to count them triplaleetripalee, even though they aren`t triplets. if it has a three, then thats rele weird and i have never heard of it, lol

In one place there are eight notes(6 of them) with a six under them...I know that these are to be played in one beat. But in anouther section, there are sixteenth notes with a three under them...what are these? How many are in a beat? (If anyone has ever played Finzi`s Fughetta, thats where these are...)

If you have problems with the rythm you should count how much of the bar* is left.* I seem to have lost the word.
