I`m a 15 yrs old student come from Hong Kong. I am now finding a semi-professional model bassoon for my further development in music.
I find a Moosmann 220AP in Ebay cost now US4150. May I ask some Questions??

1)Is this price resonable for a Moosmann 220AP???

2)besides Moosmann, which brand of bassoon and which model of bassoon is suitable for my situation?? I`m preparing for my ABRSM Grd 8 exam in the coming April.

3)I can Only afford about US$6000-6200. Any suggestion for me to buy a better bassoon?????

Moosmann is a great German bassoon. I don`t know too much about the different models. HOWEVER, more important than the brand is the condition of the particular instrument you are considering. A bassoon that needs a lot of work is going to cause more problems and be frustrating to play until you get it fixed. How to assure yourself of condition from something on ebay? I don`t know. The only thing I would suggest is to do a little research online and get price comparisons, then decide if this horn is still cheap enough to be a good buy if you have to spend another $1,000 getting it up to speed after you buy it. Good luck.
