Just got my Bassoon

I'd just thought I'd let everyone here at the Bassoon forum know that I finally got my Bassoon! It's one from the school that I'm renting, so, it's kind of used. First, the Band director told me to make crowing noises (the most interesting sounds I have ever heard). I then advanced to sound-making and finally notes. It was easy to adjust to from baritone (I was not meant to play that instrument). Wish me luck (except on opening night, then it would be break a leg).

Congrats and good luck! I just received my bassoon yesterday, as well. Ten years after I graduated and had to give back the school instrument, I finally have one to call my own.

It seems like the more horrible the sound you make wiht the reed, the better the sound comes out of the bassoonXD
