Bronchitis and Trumpet playing

Hi guys and girls. My name is Jim and I have been playing the trumpet for quite some time, but for the first time I was diagnosed with bronchitis. I can hear an important difference to me sound, but since it's my first time dealing with this sickness, my question is: Does bronchitis affect trumpet playing??? Any help would be appreciated, cause I'm beginning to have some self doubt.
