I am looking for a new violin

I started playing violin about a year ago. I bought a violin locally from a private party. I think I did ok on the price and I have been very happy with it. but I feel that maybe I should start to look at higher end violins. the one I have now is a "Torricelli". I do not now much about, be is sounds good and I have enjoyed playing for a lot of the time I have had it. I am thinking maybe of getting a Ming Zheng Zhu. mainly because he keeps winning all the VSA stuff.
at a year into playing I feel I am getting pretty good, but since I have no issues with my current violin I would be buying more as an investment in the future...

I would love to hear others thoughts on the subject.
