Beginning Violin - advice?

Hi everyone,
I have played flute for many years, but have always wanted to venture out and learn how to play violin. I love the sound of a violin and would like to learn how to play. I have been researching for a while trying to decide which brand of violin to go with, but I am unsure of what would be best for me. I am not wanting anything super expensive since I am just starting out, but I don't want to end up with one that sounds like garbage. Any advice?

There are many people who emphasises an expensive violin for beginners. But I am not one of them. You only neeed an instrumemt in the range of 400-500$ and up, only when you are able to didtinguish its tone from a beginner instrument. As of now an instrument in teh range of 150-200$ would be fine.

I have tried these three violins named Dorelli, Florea Recital II, and Florea persona and have also checked with my teacher. I liked Florea Persoana the most among them although Dorelli and Florea Recital II was also very good. ( Read the reviews).

Buying violin

Be a better audience to violin experts and then start to learn from them. finally beat them. This is the 3 steps you have to follow apart from learning...

I am also a beginner and own a 120.00$ violin. My violin sounds like crap when I play but like a pro when my instructor plays or a friend of mine who plays fiddle in josh abbott band. The only downfall to a cheap violin is if its poorly made. Also do not order a beginner violin online. Go to a music shop and start up a friendly relationship to the owner and they will not steer you wrong. #allexperience
