I`m 14 and have been playing the violin since the age of 6. It`s a hard instrument to play, in the sense of making a nice, crystal clear sound so don`t think straight away youre going to play like Sergey Ostrovsky.
But don`t give up too soon, give it a chance.
You get a lot of satisfaction when playing it well and its a great instrument, the best; although I`m probably bias.
