I would think pop/rock or possibly alternate rock just because it is hard to put your finger on the exact style the Goo Goo Dolls play. Hope that helps out a bit

no not emo alternate i went 2 one of their concerts and they had this dissgusion they said they were alternate rock

They are emo. Not this new crap people call emo, the goo goo dolls are real emo, probably the best emo band ever. They are NOT POP!!! Pop sucks. I could maybe put some of their songs under alternative, but as a whole they are emo.

would bands like creed, three doors down, stain, nickleback, the calling, seether, fall into the same category? i agree that they aren`t completely emo. they are like an alternative-emo rock mix.

"emo" or emotion, is more of an underground sound. their bands pride themselves on not being commercial.
