I am a retired school teacher who took up playing the violin as an adult. While I have not been playing violin for over 20 years, I never had much time to practice until now. I take lessons and in the summers play duets with a friend from school. From my current teacher I have made contact with another adult student who likes to play celtic music. We hope to play together. My teacher is considering starting a small string group locally for us to join.

Besides playing the violin, I am currently writing two books (one for collectors of vintage Maya Mexico jewelry and one which is a biography of a 19th century book illustrator Emma Florence Harrison. I am also an avid Sherlock Holmes fan collecting items for my evidence box, writing "monographs" in his style, etc. I have 4 cats, enjoy gardening, and like to travel with my husband. Recently we have traveled to China, Egypt, and always my favorite England.
