This song is thought to originate in the Torres Strait Islands, north of Australia. Although we've also heard reports it's from Cameroon, West Africa and is a 'party song', roughly translated it means "call Mother"
It's easy to sing, and the comfortable register makes this a great way to start a choir rehearsal.
