Greetings. A forum for flutes. Fabulous!Any helpful hints regarding wrist/arm/shoulder pain? I can get in about 45 minutes of practice, and then my wrists, arms, and shoulders start to ache so badly, I have to stop for the day.
Does anyone else have this problem?

yes, i did when first started playing (5 yrs ago). and had them in the same places as you. so, what i did was instead of practicing for an hour straight, i took a break every 10 or 15 min. it doesnt have to be a long break. but after a while you should be able to go longer and longer without a break. another possible problem that could be causing your pain is not holding the flute properly. i made the mistake of holding the saxophone right when i started to play that and it did permanent damage to my left wrist. so now i have to be careful while playing any instrument. but what you can to do to get rid of that pain, is take some over the counter pain killers.
