Is it possible to learn on a $50 violin? I`ve never played one. Not sure I`m going to stick with it. How bad should I expect the $50 beauty to be? I don`t need anything great -I`m not great.

ya know it wouldn`t be a bad idea to learn on something that isn`t too expensive...because what if you decided you didnt like it???you would have just wasted hundreds of dollars right?? Its kinda like learning drums with a practice pad and then moving up to expensive sets and stuff..so go cheap..get good..go good

Quite possible. Most $50 violins these days are better than the stuff I used to teach on.
