Hi im a freshman in high school.I decided i wanted to switch to trumpet after paying clarinet for five years.The thing is now that i have a trumpet i dont know what to do with it.I can play notes, i think, but i still have no idea what im doing.I can only do low notes so i am kinda stuck in a rut.What do i do?

Unlike on clarinet, you`re going to have to change your embouchure around. Try tightening it and adjusting it. It`s also kind of like playing a kazoo -- you have to "buzz" on the mouthpiece. Grab yourself a trumpet friend or your band director for some basic lessons.
