I play the Flute. The highest in my book is High G. You play it by putting the first three fingers down9the ones closest your face) without the thunb. And your pinky only on the other hand.

The highest note that is in my book is the high high C. It is played by putting all your fingers that are closest to you down, except your thumb. then on the other hand put down your index finger and blow out of a really small ombesure(spelling?)

its non-existant,a good flute player can always get one note higher than the last. like dianna said, harmonics are the way to go.

THERE IS A B ABOVE THE HIGH C! You need an open key B-foot. The fingering for it is T -23(G#)|(1/2)(D)23(B). To explain the half, you cover half the hole. That`s why you need an open key flute. And to the Geneva Convention person, you can get probably get that note on an 88-key piano, so why should it get banned on the flute? Maybe I should read up on the Geneva Convention, because it seems like a pile of cow dung that a certain note on the flute would be banned. Anyway, someone found a high B, which would probably need alot of practise to prove it. I won`t be getting a b-foot any time soon, but in the next year or so I will have an open key.

I`ve got a Masters degree in Flute Performance- trust me, the flute goes up to an F above high C, as in 7 lines above the staff. Composers really don`t write for anything higher than the D on the 6th line above the staff, thank God, but occasionally people play the high F as the final note in the Ibert Concerto. Hope that helps!

Its an F! I can play it! It is very easy. Left hand- pointer, ring finger, and right key on thumb or lower key for thumb.( Sorry I do not know the correct term for it) Right hand- pointer, pinky.

I was kidding- I have no idea what the stipulations relating to band instruments that are in the Geneva Convention. Thats just an inside joke in my band as a way of saying "There are higher notes above High C, but we`d appreciate it if you tried figuring them out elsewhere."

it`s A7 above high c . You must have a flute with B-foot joint to play this note. But what you guys play this note for ? just for fun....? There is no music with this A7 for flute. Or you may compose one.

The highest note is a E on the fourth octave, and yes you need a b flat foot but if you want to try it out go to www.larrykrantz.com and there you will find the high notes for the flute. There they have the C#4, D4, D#4, and then the E. Although I have never seen music this high, I sometimes play it during pep games like for an ending, but just for fun I`m ony a junior in high school .
