I am new to flute playing and am considering buying the "How To Play The Flute" book and I wanted some opinions on it etc. Also how well it helped in learning to play. I do know how to read music already... just in case that matters.
Thanks alot!

I have not read this book but based on the reviews I would think that it is worth the money to buy it. But then again as a flute teacher, I would suggest buying all the books that you can about the flute to get all the different perspectives. I would also suggest taking some lessons from a good teacher as you can`t really teach yourself 100% effectively and music is a really social art and it is also like a language. Would you expect to learn a foreign language from only reading a book? For me, I would need to hear the actual way that the words are pronounced.
