Okay thanks. That is what I was afraid of. Under profile it should show a rather lengthy message that I had wrote explaing about me to other members. That stinks!
I can only see it if I log into my account privately.

I like the profile part.

"Music and Arts institute"

Do you by any chance, Kara, mean Music and Arts center or not?

I really think it`s a great idea the way we can all learn a little about each other by reading their profiles.

I LOVE the profile part. Except that there is a too few character limit.

Re: "No reason it should stop people from posting as much, unless they have something to hide!"

Spoken like a true Fascist.

Why is it so difficult to grasp that the Internet is inevitably "impersonal" and that what matters is the CONTENT of your missives not who you are (or claim to be)?

Why is it so difficult to grasp that new technologies inevitably entail unforseen consequences? The Internet is inherently dehumanizing and those who pretend otherwise are greatly exacerbating the problem. We are all strangers here, and we will continue to be strangers no matter how obtrusive the site becomes. If you really want to meet and interact with people, get off your rump, turn off your computer, and step outside. Do it now. If, on the other hand, you really want to exchange information and you really have some information to exchange then this forum and the Internet CAN have some LIMITED utility. Why is the distinction so difficult to grasp?

This passage: "...then this forum and the Internet CAN have some LIMITED utility..."

should read: "...then this forum and the Internet in general CAN have some LIMITED utility...."

If whoever is behind this site really wants to improve it, he might furnish us with an "edit" button--and while I`m at it, do you really not have a programmer who can fix the very, very simple double increment problem in your reply counter?

That is not a fascist statement actually. What I meant was, there`s no reason for people to stop posting at all. It`s not like you even have to give out more information about yourself. Yes, maybe an email address but that`s not publicly available unless you choose for it to be. If you stopped posting because you didn`t want to have a username (which can be totally random) or put in your email address then it is a bit weird, as it`s not even as if someone could trace you through it or anything.

In the end, registration is definitely good because, as has been pointed out already, people can`t just put in random names and make nasty comments without you knowing who it is when they come back again. There`s no real reason not to.

Dotted eight note, I hope you excepted my apology. I am not sure if you saw it or not. I really am sorry about the misunderstanding, I did think that you were someone else. That is another thing about registering that is good.

There was a crazy stalker girl that was on here a while back that has it in for me, so please forgive me for my paranoia.
