Thank you for the help it's a 211S. I have had it for two weeks and i love it, what i am playing probaly sounds nothing like what it should but it's good fun.

I have to say that I'm still relatively new to this though. It has made a big impact on the sound of my playing though.
The embouchure Hole is cut differently and that is taking some getting used to but the mechanism feels lighter and is far more responsive than my Buffet.
Its still taking a little getting used to, but I really dont think I could have made a better choice for an upgrade at my current level.

I have a Gemeinhardt 2SP. I didn't care for the headjoint, so I have a Yamaha CY cut headjoint. I still have the Gemmy Headjoint, but I never use it!

Wow...I feel incredibly stupid right about now...
I don't have a clue what any of these flutes are. I feel this is something I should know by now. Years ago, a flute was a flute. But now I'm realizing that it is very important. Geez, I better start learning the difference a quality flute and a poor one. And I know for a fact that mine is a piece of crap. I know it's time for a new one in a year when I go to high school. But I don't know what to get.

I play an Armstrong 303b: Silver head, open hole, with inline G, and B foot. (Is the 305 model the updated version of the 303?)

It has an appointment with the flute tech for new pads and adjustment on March 5.

I tried the Armstrong P4 headjoint this past Monday and really liked it! The store wanted $529 + tax for it. Does anyone know of an online source that may be less expensive?

My flute is a crappy student model Armstrong, and the one I am using now is a worse student model Bundy. I really want a Muramatsu.

I used to play on a Powell but I changed over to play on a Simba with open holes and a B flat foot.

I have a Yamaha 581 that my flute teacher and VERY GOOD FRIEND generously gave to me, as a birthday gift!! (Kara is the greatest!)
