Hello again Cheyenne,

Thank you for your kind words. After the threats I had to endure, any kind of shoulder-rubbing makes me purr.

I'm not sure why Kara freaked out. She was my friend until then too.

I didn't attack anyone. I just wanted to relate my "shedding" experience and let everyone know that I got way better even though I already said it wasn't possible. At least what I thought was impossible was possible but only after extreme amounts of kick-butt work.

I love you all here on the flute forum. It's been my pleasure serving you as teacher and all around good example.

I'm a 48 year old man and do not appreciate your rude comments about me being a junior-high student. If I were I would be on the news everyday for the accomplishments that I have made at such an age. But, sadly, my incredible accomplishments will have to be seen in the light in which they were born (not as boy-genius but maybe something more like "man-genius") as to be unduly softened.

Phil, if you are a 48 year old man then prove it. Please put another picture of yourself on your avatar. How about one of you holding your clarinet?

I have stayed out of this forum, it was once a fun forum, but this thread should be killed now. My lack of response it because none of this deserves a response.

Kara, you know me, and many of the others here on 8notes have come to know me...this thread should just be deleted by the forum administrator.

I know Kara as well, and she is a good person that knows what these forums are all about. I am pretty sure she agrees with me 100% on most things. This forum is for having fun! What the heck! I would not have had fun if I jumped into this mess.

I am not having fun typing this, so I am filing a complaint about this...

Thanks Az. Yes, I do agree with you. I have written to David as well as many others have also, but he must be gone on vacation or something as I usually get a response from him and he is very good at dealing with trolls like this.

Well I say,in all due respect all, excluding Mr.Phil that we all leave.
This is obviously getting out of hand.I know I have also instigated the situation but I am sick and tired of people like Mr.Phil here.People like him need to grow up and act like 48 or whatever age man he should be acting like.
Yes I do realize that I need to grow up also, but I am 14 and have plenty of time to do so.

So for the sake that's all good for the flute forum, the forums as a whole, and this wonderful site,I say we end this madness and not even associate with Mr.Phil.

Mr.Phil,I bid you farewell.I wish you will come to your senses one day and realize you're being a jerk.

Good day to all and I hope to talk to you all soon and encounter you in another forum!!
Sincerely,
Cheyenne

Goodbye Cheyenne,

It's been a pleasure sharing my advice and teachniques with you. Maybe someday people WILL grow up and stop bother other people. Hopefully they will stop harassing them and calling them names like troll and loser. I am a good man with my opinions on my sleeve for all to see. This has caused a lot of confusion since the little people out there aren't used to saying what they think, rather saying what others want to hear and trying to be nice all of the time so as not to upset another forum poster.

Even people like azfluter act like they know me through and through even though they just arrived on the scene. Realizing that he had been out-classed, he just lashed out in all directions. Complaining is also for the weak.

While we are on the topic, would've, could've and should've are words of those who sat endlessly at their computer typing away on the forums instead of practicing their instrument. Way to go! You did it! You avoided all progress as a musician and probably slid backward a few notches.

You guys can hate me all you want, but I am just the most honest person here. I didn't come here to have fun but to offer my experience as a musician to those that need it, like oxygen to the drowning. In other words, you really need it.

I came over here from the clarinet forum when I read the terrible advice given at the beginning of this thread, given by the same people who want to "eliminate" me. Funny how when you get caught giving out such bad advice that your first reaction is not to admit that said advice was horrible, but to call me names and try to get me labeled as a troll. I have been a member of 8notes for a long long time and consider myself a valuable memeber of the community here.

I beg you to stop the name calling and trash talking.

For the record, I was never having fun either. If I were, I wouldn't be able to claim my posts on my "good deed for the day" card. That reminds me, I better check off today.

Wow...Cheyenne has left, Phil is still being an ass, and everyone else just sits back and watches. Everyone, stop listening to this jerk and start posting about musical things. Just ignore Phil and his advice. He's like an assassin - he finds out about you, plots your demise, and then instigates your slow and painful death with a well aimed post that goes straight to the mind. Eventually, your senses of right and wrong are eliminated, and you either fall into the trap of pro-Phil propaganda or end up "passing-away", like Cheyenne.

Sorry Phil but you say "could've, Should've" etcetera come from people who sit around in the forum all day instead of practising yet...You are the one writing testaments for comments. Also how dare you judge peoples talents without even hearing them. Just because you sit there checking every little spelling mistake and using correct spacing doesn't make you a good player! Also in the clarinet forum, the most expensive clarinet isnt necessariluy the best! That is complete amateur advice, for example one of Wibbs favorites is only around £200. Does that make it a bad flute...No its a good flute for him! Also advice is personal, if someone says do this, its because they think it the right thing to do, so calling them names and disregarding their advice is shocking.
How about you stop throwing out your awards and how good you are (on the clarinet forum, flute and your profile) and actually give some decent advice or go and PRACTISE! Remeber it is sooo easy to judge a musician by their arrogance... look at all of the professionals...they aren't arrogant at all...like Nick Cox!

Youll back me up 'can wont you!!??
Coop

"The only way to be a classy clarinet player is to have a fast and wide vibrato" said Phil...
This is absolute HOGWASH!! You need to be able to play with a palate of different colours and vibrato. Fast and harsh, slow , there are millions of combinations. This is what makes a good performance along side technical accuracy, musicality and personal ideas! You should never play with one fixed sound or idea otherwise it becomes extremely monotonous!
----A lot to learn i feel!!

The problem with Clarinet Vibrato is that most Clarinettists don't use it.

Outstanding in his own mind but disturbed.
"I myself am kind of a one-man metal symphony. When you hear my music you will finally know and wonder "why have I been missing this all my life?""

"Some people say that I sound kind of like a ray-gun from a sci-fi movie but I think it's pure beauty."

http://www.8notes.com/f/26_203008.asp?spage=1

I'm good at what I do and you guys just aren't. You should do some soul-searching and find out what the real problem is (deep inside).

"My advice is as infallible as the splashing of the tides. Accept it and be swept away into a sea of knowledge (my head).

Thank you all for starting a thread to honor me.
-Phil"

<Added>

Here as an example of some "Phil" weirdnesses:
"I'm good at what I do and you guys just aren't."
Through discussing things on an internet forum one can't assume that the other person is a great player by their pejorative taunts that only seem to display a very limited knowledge of the art of music. One needs to actually hear the person perform.

"My advice is as infallible as the splashing of the tides"
Sounds like a Bushism to me. That comment just isn't correct grammar because tides or water splashing is neither true nor false. It leaves the reader scratching their head in awe because the splashing of the tides is neither fallable or infallible. Very much akin to saying something like,"My dog barks louder than a harvest moon." If a person can't communicate properly why would anyone assume that this person is a virtusosic genius? He should have used the word, "constant" or the word, "certain" instead of the word, "infallible".

Personally, because I have serious reason to doubt that this person has chosen to use their real name, I would say that pseudonyms such as this sort shouldn't be allowed on this kind of forum.

I didn't die,I just don't want to associate with this arrogant waste of life.
It's absolutely arbitrary!
But,I would have to say to you,Mr.Phil, that you may take your own advice for once.
Thanks to all for the exceptional advice(well to all except for Mr.Phil).
I am enjoying myself as section leader and hope to have more fun.
Thank you.
Enjoy your supposed excellent time on 8notes!!!
With best intentions,
Cheyenne
