Marching bands in my area march anywhere from 20 to about 300 members depending on the band.

hi... its my first time to be engage in a forum like this... hmm... as a member of a marching band here in the Philippines, the numbers you gave are quite very numerous... usually marching bands here only ranges from 100-120 musicians... and unlike to any countries like United States, we the musicians came from different schools (we're of not the same age...some of us are elementary, high school or college students). we're mix... hehe thanks for reading my comment...

welll we have the BIGGEST band in the land,,,now that I've had a chance to count them:

76 trombones (in front)
110 Cornets in the next rows.
over 1000 reeds
all kinds of horns, Tympani,Double bell euphoniums and big bassoons....And trumpeters who'd improvise
A full octave higher than the score!
