Trust me, I deal with ebay everyday and know the ins and outs and what to look for. For starters it could be a hacked account. Another note is that the bid was started very low WITHOUT a reserve. And another thing, it is a private auction. I contacted them and they would not give me the serial # and wanted to sell it off of ebay to me. So, yes, I would very much think it is another scam.

Yep. I'd think that Ebay would be a good place to fence alimited amount of expensive merchandise.

One other means that I've seen for scamming is to get people to pay good money up front and then never deliver the product.

I've seen this with boats where people may give considerable sums of money to a thief.

I believe that a good rule of thumb is, if a deal is too good to be true, it probably isn't.... or, It's their own greed that seperates people from their money.

Well mysteriously the auction was ended by the seller. Hmmm...
