Anyone have Christmas playing obligations?
I will be playing Christmas Eve children's Mass (4:00pm), Midnight Mass, and then again on New Year's Eve.

Hi Kipp
I am playing at a few church services this year and playing many different arrangements of Christmas church music. My favorite piece that I am playing this year as a solo is Grand Fantasia on "I was three ships" That is the one that Galway arranged. It is so much fun to play!

We already had our holiday concert last weekend. I'm done with performances until next year.

I had quite a few concerts this season..both playing and singing..I also play in church a few times a month and did this past weekend.

I also played 2 christmas parties..one on piano and one on flute.

Tomorrow the church orchestra and choir are going to an old age home so will be playing a lot of carols plus doing one solo "Gesu Bambino"

I am playing in my church orchestra for prelude, hymns, offertory and 1 anthem with the choir and I am playing (with the organist) for 2 other anthems with the choir and I am playing "Gesu Bambino" accomp by piano and bass guitar.

I am playing dinner music for 2 hours (piano) at a New Year's Eve party. Fun and $$$

<Added>

The second last comment about playing with orch for prelude etc is late service (11PM) Christmas Eve

the usual services. I am at a midnight on Christmas and then Noon on Christmas Day. Pretty much the same music every year for about 20 now but it's fun. I've sarted playing some solo flute prelude Carols prior to the midnight. Kind of good for some quieter and clean playing. that I consider more techincal and focused. The nice thing for these prelude tunes is that I can play whatever I want and I decide upon the spot.
What Child is this.
Midnight Clear
In the Bleak Mid-Winter
Away in a Manger and such.
So, the midnight is a long one. It starts at about 11:PM to about 1:30.
