I know this is not for everyone, but I absolutely love to play with CD accompaniment. For years this was limited only to sacred music but is now available for a lot of flute repetoire. I have all three editions of the "THE FLUTE COLLECTION BK/CD by G. SCHIRMER"

Can anyone suggest any others that would be worthwhile? I'm open to all suggestions. I even enjoy my Hal Leonard Lord of the Rings book/cd. Too bad the dude on the demo CD is horrible in comparison to "Jimmy." :-)

I find CD Accomp great for myself & students. There are alot of well recorded accomps out there (and many computer generated). I got inspired myself, and wrote a book of original repertoire with full CD demo/backing.

I highly reccomend Bossa, Samba and Tango Duets for flute and guitar frm Music Minus One. The guitar and percussion are fabulous. It has some great latin songs and even inculdes Carmen Fantasie.
