An airy sound on high notes probably means that the air stream is not well focused and small enough. For the higher notes, the lips must form a smaller opening with a faster air speed. If the opening is too large, excess air spills over the embouchure hole creating the airy sound you describe.

The solution? Practice! Work on developing your tone and focus by practicing long tones over the full range of the flute.

"is not well focused and small enough"

That should have read:
"is not well focused and NOT small enough"

You're welcome. Just be sure not to OVER tighten. The idea is to just change the size of the opening: more open for the low notes, smaller for the high notes. You don't want to get the embouchure too tight or you will not be able to easily move from low to high and vice-versa. You need to stay flexible to easily transition back and forth.

If you can study with a flute teacher (even just a few lessons), it will help you make progress faster and not learn things the wrong way. Having to UNLEARN something wrong is more difficult than learning it correctly from the start.
