My sister has an old Jupiter flute..not sure which model.... and her low c is extremely difficult to play, most of the time you cannot play it at all. All of the other low work fine. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

It's probably not the flute but your sister. Low C is often hard to play. What level is she at? I'm sure with more practice she will be able to play it.

Well, since it is obvious Emy is also a flute player and if she can't get the low C out also then there is something wrong with the flute. The obvious thing to do is to take it to a repair technician. Sound like a leak. Many times kids bang their flutes around and drop them causing bent keys and such. I am not sure what how you expect us to tell you what is wrong with it if we can't even look at it. Any psychics on this forum?

My sister is like a level 2 player. the flute broke a few weeks ago so she got it serviced then but the c has never worked, my teacher(who's played for like 35 years, cant get it to work). We will probably take it in again but I think the flute is just bad. Thanks anyway!

well there is another posibility when my flute low c didnt work it didnt turnout to be me but the flute footjoint was messed up! i remember tryin to fix the c# and c natrual keys and see if the pad were leaking and the werent it all turned out that the Eb key (pinky key on right hand) was leaking once i replaced that pad it was good it could play low c once again it might not be the problem but its a suggestion. it may also be the model! the old jupiter models are hard to play low notes on just like a jupiter alto sax its hard get the lowest note
