I have to play a piccolo solo for an elementary schools fifth graders as part of the "meet the instruments" event. i was wondering what to play that they would like, i don't really play pieces like movie theme songs. It was to be really short though.

I wouldn't be to worried about a "piccolo" song. Take any song you really like on flute and transfer it over (as long as it doesn't have low C/B of course). Any catchy tune or something that they know. Show off a bit! 5th graders are easily impressed!
