Somebody has mentioned Azumi flutes and I have found 1! It is an Azumi 2000RBE! It has:
A 'Z-cut' Professional Altus Headjoint(Britannia Silver)
Split-E
Open Holes
Offset G
B footjoint with gizmo key
Silver plated body and Keywork
What have people heard about Azumi???

Thanks, how common is this? I mean, if you bought the flute on the internet, after trying it on a trial period and thinking about it, is there a high chance of having over-filed tone-holes?

I would recommend a Trevor James, I love the make. Played it for 7 years now, and it hasn't given me any problems! but I seriously warn you against Jupiter - my friend has one and the keys are flat, and you're hard pressed to get a note out.

What do you mean by the keys are flat? I think that Jupiter flutes are wonderful. You can't judge the whole brand by just one flute. Your friends flute may have been abused or needs work. Jupiter and Yamaha are what I sell as far as student line flutes because in my opinion (with 20 plus years of playing and several years of working on flutes and seeing MANY of these) they are of high quality and simply the best as far as student line flutes go in the market right now. Of course you have a right to your opinion, but the basis of it should be fair.

Jupiter is not a bad flute, I began flute with an used second-hand Jupiter S511, two years later I won a local championship, I then upgraded to Yamaha 211, and I gave the S511 to my cousin, and she won a local championship too, then she upgraded to Muramatsu GX, and she returned the S511 back to me as sovenir.

I then took the cork out for a cleaning before put the flute away as remembrance item, I had found that Jupiter used Plastic Cork!!! I was shocked, and took out all my flutes corks and took a picture, here:

The 5th cork from left is Jupiter S511's Cork, I mean you can see, my Sankyo artist(3rd), Yamahas and even the $80 China-made-brandless flute has wooden cork(6th), but Jupiter uses very light-weighted plastic cork!

It's teacher, we had good teachers.

The Cork was not a foam cork, it was empty in the middle, only plastic around the edges to seal.

I mean, if the material is not important, then is the weight of cork important? if nothing is important with these corks, why don't the flute-makers just simply weld the reflection-plate on the headjoint?

Yes, I have encountered those type of plastic like corks on the 511 Jupiters. All the 507's that I have had, have regular cork. They still work fine and seal.

Yes, I'm poor, so what? so was James Galway when he was young - a son of shipwright worker, does it mean I can't play the flute? Did you notice in most of my videos I was wearing the same old dirty "Cowboy" shirt that my grandma gave me? I used a second-hand or even third-hand Jupiter S511 that my uncle sold me for $140 when I first learned the flute, 2 years later when I won a local championship my parent bought me the Yamaha 211 for $400, I used it eversince for 5 years now, last year my grandma gave me the Sankyo Artist(cheap obsoleted model on sale) as birthday gift, but I don't want to use it now because I am saving it for conservatory many years later.

I worked hard on flute with my Yamaha 211, so what's the problem with this fact? Unlike you western spoiled kids, parents pay for all your expensive flutes, upgrades, professional models, oboes, guitar, clarinet, horns, skiiing shoes, video games etc...., but you are just a jack of all trades, and lazy rich kids never work hard on your flute.

I work hours and hours on scales and tone daily, I don't have money for good teachers, but I posted all over the world with my videos, luckily, masters, professors and teachers all over the world and forums including Patrick,Micron, and many other teachers on GFC and Larry flute forum, taught me online or gave me advice based on my videos, FOR FREE!!!

My parents have been dead for over 8 years. You don't have a clue about what my parents did or did not buy me. People thumbs your posts down because they don't like you and are sick and tired of hearing you go on and on about yourself in every post. Yet you lie. pyeroni, parents never bought my flute too, i had to save to buy it, so what! that does not make me come on there claiming to be a expert on all things. You have one big ego for a little boy, which is not needed on this forum.
