I have recently bought a flute and I don't know how old it is. The branding is like this:

Bundy
Selmer
USA

I can't find the serial number on the Selmer website. And, I don't know if it's safe to give the serial number.

But the flute is not a student flute, it's actually a professional or intermediate flute. It has an offset G, no split E mechanism, and open hole. And, it does have a C# trill key. All of the keys are French-style. And the case of the flute has James Galway's signature, I believe. I bought this flute on a garage sale, it was covered in dust but the flute is still in great shape. I bet that the guy who sold me this flute has no idea about this flute.

If you are able, please take a photo and post a picture of this flute. I have never seen a Bundy with a C# trill key and Bundy has never made a professional model. They are bottom of the barrel student line flutes. When you say it has a C# trill key, perhaps you are mistaking it for something else. Just to confirm, where is the C# trill key located on this flute?

Also, who told you that this was a professional flute? You do know that open holes does not equal professional right? Just checking :)

Hi all,
Could anyone tell me if there is any other way to find out about a Gemeinhardt flute that their serial number page doesn't. By their own admission the info on a lot of the older models has been lost. I recently picked up an old Gemeinhardt which plays well and has the serial:

Gemeinhardt
F-200 CS
L61403

I would appreciate any direction.

I am trying to track down details on the same flute. Let me know if you find anything out. Can't believe there is no background on it on the web!

Otherwise it's like running into a wall and nobody's getting anywhere on finding out more information.

lol! Why do I feel like I am always running into a wall on this forum in the first place? I suppose that is why I don't visit and post much anymore on this site. Suz, I still want that shirt. You know which one and what it would say!
