Hi professional orch players.

Help, I need to play Carmen Intermezzo next week.

What would you do when you play Carmen Intermezzo? Since all notes are in pp or ppp, would you push in the headjoint and hit the sweet spot in the middle, or would you just leave it as normal and lip up?

If I lip up, then the sound is rather airy.

Thanks.

Assuming pushing in the headjoint is not considered morally decadent or something then if that works for you on your instrument then do that.
