I use to play flute in junior high (armstrong student model) many many many moons ago. I want to play again for myself, no aspirations to play professionally. Have an opportunity to buy a Gemeinhardt M2 for $40 and of course it is used. I am not in a position to play it first, it would be an online purchase. Looking for tips and advice please.

You want to make sure the flute is in playable condition. Have the seller confirm that to you before you buy it. An overhaul will cost quite a penny if it needs it.
