whats ur opinion about guys playing the flute?

Ya know, this is getting to be a bit of a rehashed subject.

But hey, how I can resist the attention being in a minority situation gives me?

In any case, I like being able to mess with people`s predefined views of the world, because you get the strangest looks when people realize you`re a guy flutist.

Also a good way to meet girls with a common interest.

Also, as a comment, in most of the world, particuarly in South America and Asia, playing flute is mostly considered to be a man`s occupation. The U.S. appears tobe the exception.

Okay, well im not sure you should be if you only reason is to pick up chicks, but if you do it for the love of the music, go for it

alrighty, i think that people usually think of flutes as a "girls" instrument, but if you play for the sake of playing, and try to play it well, i say a guy can play it all he wants....now does anyone think there`s any difference between male and female oboists[\i] ??????

oh my goodness, u r so g-a-y, how can u even ask that question, have u not realized that guys can play the flute and theres nothin wrong with it as it has been said over 100 tines the flute ISNT a girls instrument, a sax isnt a guys instrument and a clarinet isnt the only instrument that both can play. goodness get over ur little immature ways, u shouldnt even think of even asking that cause u should already kno that it kaes no differense, its really getiing annoyin thast u ppl r still steryotyping ppl with instruments.
